This is not a fluffy fix it, but rather a more hopeful, less radical take on the kitchen scene, giving Elliot more room to try to convince Olivia that it may work out.

Summary
After a fight in the middle of the squad room, Elliot and Olivia are sent to LA to follow up on a serial rapist they hadn't been able to catch. New detectives will put a strain on the already troubled partnership between Stabler and Benson and a natural disaster may be what is needed to allow these two detectives to finally focus on what is most important, each other.
This AU takes place in a world where Elliot never left Olivia and is divorced. It is also pre- Lewis.

Olivia wanted to believe him. Wanted it with her whole damn being. She needed it to be true like she needed air to breathe because if she lost him, she thought she might die. And suddenly she felt the need to feel him close, feel the pulse underneath his skin and his breath in her hair.
“Hold me?” she whispered brokenly.
Or: After the crash, relization that Elliot could be taken away from her makes Olivia decide that she doesn't want to wait anymore.

Summary
When C mentioned he originally wrote the rescue of Sad Eyes in the end of OC 5x02 to include M, my mind started spinning and it didn't stop until I started writing this. I wish SVU had given her those extra days of shooting, but since they suck, I guess this will have to suffice.
