   Summary

   France, 1944. In the midst of the worst war the world has ever seen, an unlikely friendship strikes up between Levi Ackerman, a widowed French Jew, and Eren Jäger, a lieutenant in the German Wehrmacht who hides a dangerous secret. The two must work together as they deal with love, loss, dignity, and the horrors all around them.

   This multi-novel story stays faithful to the real history of World War II, covering from just before the Normandy Landing, the Battle of Metz, and the Ardennes Offensive (AKA, the Battle of the Bulge).
