Summary
Prequel to "Tales from the '80s" - I recommend reading the series before stopping by here.
Jeon Jungkook had been through a lot.
He was just a child when he found himself having to accept a "job" offer that was made to him one evening, desperately trying to survive while life seemed to continue to mock him every day, bringing him one misfortune after another.
His life was sad, empty and frightening, he could no longer find a reason to keep going.
Yet, when one evening he decided he wanted to make the extreme gesture with the hope that it would finally save him from that continuous living in suffering, the voice of a stranger reached his ears, making him stop and think about what he really needed.
"«The night I looked down and saw your eyes I realized that you are like me. A few years ago I was in the same situation as you and I couldn't help myself, I kind of felt a connection with you, even though you hadn't seen me. Your eyes are so big and full of emotion... I'm sure if I looked closely at them, I could see whole constellations in them.»"

Summary
Volume III of "Taels from the '80s".
Jimin's life seemed to be on a slide, every second he felt himself descending deeper and deeper as darkness slowly took him in.
The ghost of his past was haunting him and Yoongi could do nothing but silently watch the love of his life get swept away by that sadness, not even trying to fight it.
"«Can I ask you a question?» Jimin then asked with a edge in his voice, unable to find the courage to open his eyes.
«You can tell me whatever you want love.» the elder simply answered him, taking his hand and holding it in his own.
«Would you miss me if I left?»
Yoongi's eyes widened in a second and immediately darted to the figure beside him, precisely on his profile. He kept his gaze down and held the now empty wine glass in his free hand. [...]
«W-what do you mean?» he managed to answer, trying to ignore the emptiness he felt in his chest when those words hit him.
«I mean... Going away. Not being there anymore.«
«Jimin-» [...]
Yoongi shuddered the moment his gaze locked with Jimin's, realizing with horror that his star had just gone out completely."

Volume I of "Tales from the '80s"
Park Jimin and Min Yoongi are two guys living two completely different realities in the same city, San Francisco.
The first one lives in the Castro district, he spends his days working hard to realize his dream in his drawer and the nights between the sheets with strangers each time different, convinced that life could not reserve him better; the second one lives in a bad neighborhood where he spends his days writing and composing songs, that then at night he could sing in the rap house where he was known as Suga.
Two completely different lives, apparently parallel, divided by deep prejudices, through a difficult path will manage to find a way to intertwine in a love story that neither of them believed possible.

“Didn’t beg.” Taehyung fixes his shirt in case his position wrinkled it in any way. “Only said that to make you feel better.”
Jungkook scoffs under his breath. “You lie so much and wonder why I don’t believe you.”
