He won’t answer. It’s Akihiko, who else? He hates Akihiko. He will not let Akihiko in. Not now, not ever. Akihiko will only leave with Ugetsu’s heart thumping madly in his hands.
It’s Akihiko’s home, too. He could come in if he likes. But Ugetsu smokes his cigarette to the stub, and still there’s no sound of feet on stairs.
Akihiko has left.
