“Jihyo,” she hears from behind her and immediately feels her shoulders sag and her eyes water. It was a voice she would always recognize, a million years in the future or a million miles apart.
“Jeongyeon,” Jihyo whispered in wonder, feeling her girlfriend's arms wrap around her shoulders, embracing her in a hug.
They stayed hugging in the hotel lobby for a moment, as Jihyo took in the flowery hues of Jeongyeon's perfume. She felt cocooned in the embrace, suddenly feeling so small after long hours being made feel so big.
Amidst the chaos and franticness of fashion week, Jihyo found home in the middle of Paris. Or rather, home came to find her — in the form of Jeongyeon, showing up in a hotel lobby.
