Summary
Today is just another day where the nausea has mostly gone, and Rose has already done everything that's been thrown at her, and the emptiness leads her wandering off to annoy the Doctor instead. Legs swinging as she sits on his desk in the lab, the whole thing reminds her of no less than them five years ago, him fiddling with the TARDIS while she sits and bothers him happily. So not quite everything had changed since she’d gotten pregnant, she thinks.
Rose gives the Doctor nothing short of a miracle; and then the universe threatens to taken them both away from him for good.

Summary
From this distance, with his back towards her, she can’t even see him breathe. Can’t see if he’s clenching his jaw in an effort to hold back emotion, can’t see if he tightens his grip on the console as if to prevent the news from bowling him over entirely. He’s impossible to read. The green tint of the rotor gives him an eerie coloring, and she’s suddenly hit by the fact that she doesn’t know this man, not right now, not at all.
My take on the post-GITF trope, because it had to happen eventually.

Of course, after a while he was drawn to something else - himself, by the sounds of it - but that didn’t stop you from burning bright in the centre of your solar system any less.”
