Summary
Leo wants to say something, maybe one of those dad jokes that Sangwon loves, just to get Sangwon to look at her again.
She can feel the jealousy burning under her skin. But it's normal, right? She doesn't want to share her best friend. That's all.
“Is he funny?” Leo teases slowly, trying to sound casual.
It doesn't sound as casual as she wanted. Her voice is too tense, and her tone is too serious for something supposed to be a joke between friends. But she doubts Sangwon will catch those details now.
Leo leans closer to Sangwon, just enough to be able to take a look at Sangwon's phone to see the conversation.
“Wait, are you texting Junseo? Your coworker Junseo?” Leo asks, confused as she tries to see the vision in her mind.
She just… didn't expect it at all. Is not… the usual type of guy Sangwon goes for.
Her friends used to joke around, telling her Sangwon used to hook up with male versions of her… Junseo looks nothing like her.

“Hey.” His soft and cute tone returns automatically speaking with Leo.
As soon as he speaks, a notification asking to switch the call to a video call appears on his screen. He can’t help but smile as he accepts it. Leo always says he prefers to see Sangwon's face when they talk.

Summary
Rummaging through her pockets, Vi finds one of Powder’s hairpins. She bends it out, only meaning to kill time, but ends up crouched in front of the lock, making a real go of it.
“What do you think you’re doing?” a man’s voice booms from behind her.
“Breaking into a rich girl’s place.” Vi clicks her tongue, concentration lost. “Mind your own business.”
“Call the police. Now,” a woman’s voice joins.
Sighing, Vi pushes herself to her feet and says, “Calm down. My girlfriend lives here.”
She turns, jerks her thumb at the door, and freezes. Before her are two strangers she’s caught glimpses of dozens of times: Caitlyn’s mother and father, caricatures of their own photographs. Vi can’t tell if it’s disbelief or horror on their faces, or if it’s worth discerning between the two. Caitlyn’s mother holds out her phone, thumb hovering over 9.
“Shit,” Vi says.
