Summary
Sebastian isn’t particularly concerned once he sees the 63 unread messages are from Sam. Still, he taps to open their conversation right away, because Sam doesn’t have 63 messages worth of things to say at three in the morning very often these days. And also because he misses his boyfriend and wants to send a good morning text. Even though he’s only been gone one night.
He scrolls back to the first unread message without really looking at the rest, and Sebastian’s normal hotel morning lasts about as long as it takes him to read through the first three texts.

Sebastian is out of town for a week. After his first night away, he wakes up to a string of texts from Sam that tell him he’s already very missed.

This whole thing started because Sebastian couldn't keep his perverted thoughts to himself.
He'd been watching a horror movie with Sam, all snuggled up on the couch with a big bowl of popcorn between them, and though Sam's arms had been protectively wrapped around his shoulders, Sebastian could tell that Sam was terrified. Each time something scary would happen on screen Sam's grip would tighten, his heart jack hammering against Sebastian's back as he rested against Sam's chest.
In one scene, the masked killer was chasing a half-naked woman through the woods. When the killer finally caught her, straddling her back and yanking her head back roughly with a fistful of hair to put his knife to her throat, Sebastian had remarked, "That's kinda hot."
It took Sam completely out of the moment, tearing his wide green eyes from the TV to stare at him with a smirk. "So that's what gets you goin', huh?" Beautiful, simple Sam— his internal switches so easily flipped from scared to horny that it only took a single offhand comment to get his gears turning.

Summary
Sebastian counted the seconds between each breath Sam took beside him. He was sleeping deeply, and his breaths were measured and even, coming exactly every three seconds.
It was a familiar comfort for Sebastian, a habit he fell into from an early age when he lost the ability to sleep some nights. Counting a ticking clock, counting the raindrops pelting the side of the house, counting the footsteps in the early morning as his family got ready for the day while he was just ending his own.
Counting Sam's breaths was nothing new either, as he had fallen asleep on Sebastian's couch many a night before. However, it was the first time that they were sleeping beside each other in Sebastian's bed.
Very short smutty oneshot, centered around some of Sebastian's dysfunctions as he enters a new relationship with his best friend, Sam.
