The first two times, Hayden had only watched them from a respectable distance as he got himself off to the sight of Shane and Ilya together. There was enough plausible deniability in that he hadn’t been involved in any physical way, so what Ilya was suggesting would completely destroy any notion that Shane exclusively got off only by being watched by his best friend. But as Shane felt Ilya grind his hard length into his thigh, it seemed his husband was just as turned on by the idea of going further.
And Shane…would Shane even want that? Hayden’s hands joining Ilya’s as they roamed over his body? Two mouths instead of one fighting for territory as they took turns kissing him? God, Shane was already growing hard in his designer slacks, giving him a pretty clear answer.

“Who?” Shane’s mind went through a hundred different scenarios in the course of the two seconds while Shane waited for the answer, but none of them had accounted for who it actually was.
“Ilya Rozanov.”
“Sorry, what?” Shane couldn’t believe his ears. Rozanov was his age, and had barely completed professionally in the sport for more than a year. Besides his inexperience, he was a fucking dick. Shane didn’t think he could stand to be in the same room as him, let alone take any sort of advice from the guy.
Shane had really begun to think he was going to be able to avoid seeing his rival until he went pro himself, but in typical fashion, nothing ever went according to Shane’s plan when it came to Ilya Rozanov.

That familiar glint sparked in Ilya’s eyes, the one Hayden saw many times over the years on the ice during a game, or when he was down to his last card about to beat everyone in Uno. Or when he was about to fuck his best friend in front of him.
Shane squirmed in Ilya’s lap, his gaze fixed entirely on Hayden. The fire in his eyes all but screamed at Hayden that yes, he wanted this too. Was maybe even a little desperate for it. Hayden recalled how quickly Shane fell apart under his watchful eye in the locker room showers all those years ago. How his moans got louder whenever Ilya acknowledged Hayden’s presence, like being reminded he was there watching while Ilya fucked him within an inch of his life was the very thing that turned him on even more.
“What should we do?” Last time Hayden only watched, which was more than enough to get him off, but he wondered what Ilya else had in store for him.

“On a plane, yes,” his husband answered back in Russian, his voice dropping an octave as he spoke with aggravating dismissal, “I am not doing anything. Just resting my hand.”
“You know what you’re doing,” Shane retorted, his pronunciation slipping with how quickly he spoke, “What is the matter with you?”
It was the wrong move. Ilya's eyes lit up as they always did whenever Shane spoke to him in his native tongue.
“Nothing is the matter if you don’t get hard.” The gruffness of Ilya’s voice sent a pang of arousal shooting through Shane’s body.
“I won’t.” Shane responded in English, like that would somehow make it true.

Getting a text from Ilya after games was far from out of the ordinary.
Even still, Shane had never gotten a post-game text from Ilya quite like the one he got today:
'Do not shower. Not even deodorant. Go straight home. I am waiting for you.'
Shane isn’t sure what to say. But. This is his fiancé’s order. And his fiancé is basically never wrong about anything (not that Shane would ever let him know), especially when it comes to sex. The fact that Ilya is demanding he come home right away makes Shane smile to himself. Ilya is so sexy when he’s possessive and impatient. They haven’t seen each other in three whole weeks.
So, despite the fact that Shane pushed himself incredibly hard tonight, sweating up a storm as he won his team the game in OT, Shane doesn’t shower.

Shane’s eyes widened again and he briefly hung his head as if regretting all of his past life decisions, and Ilya heard the resounding click of the unlock mechanism.
He felt wild, his mind in violent turmoil as he threw open the door and his palm clutched the back of Shane’s head, his fingers finding purchase in the coarse hair. “Are you listening to me?” Shane ducked his head in acknowledgment. “I’m going to call off my driver. You will not move. I am going to sit there-“ he pointed at the empty passenger seat. “-in this boring car of yours and I am going to find out why the fuck you are alone and who the fuck made you cry.”
