Summary
It had been a long and difficult 27 years since the Hail Mary had launched. Not as terrible as it could have been, but not easy. Humanity had survived and adapted, as it always did. There had been terrible wars. There had been incredible acts of kindness. There had been massive scientific breakthroughs. And now, there were two distant blips of Petrova-light, picked up by the Deep Space Network, hurtling home. Two probes, braking hard as they hurtled toward Earth holding the secrets to its salvation. They were late, or at least, not very early, but they were here.
Grace may have made his peace with dying to save Rocky, but Rocky insists they return to Earth.

Summary
He catches a glimpse of himself in the small mirror across the room.
It’s as if he’s been frozen in time. Nothing about him has changed since he last touched the surface of his home planet.
But of course, that’s not true. Everything has changed.
He doesn’t understand. He doesn’t know what this means. He’s a man of science. There are rules, immutable laws of the universe, no matter where in the universe one is. Entropy, decay, deterioration. Everything in the universe experiences it.
Everything except him, it seems.
Or: While on Erid, Ryland Grace makes a startling realization: he seems to have stopped aging.

Summary
After your aunt and uncle squander your inheritance, you’re forced into an arranged marriage with a gentleman of substantial fortune, but who is distant, cold, and wants an heir more than a wife. Your new home is grand, but unbearably lonely… until you wander into the woods.
There you meet a scarred, solitary man who, like you, has never belonged in a world that does not understand him. What begins as quiet companionship slowly deepens into something tender… and forbidden.
