The blank silence that followed almost convinced Kim Dokja to turn around that very moment to reprimand him with how he was filled with such certainty and cockiness. In such a setting, the protagonist seemed to be the only one not alarmed despite Kim Dokjas voiced out worries. The only remaining worry that truly haunted the used-to-be office worker was the question as to why Yoo Joonghyuk was troubling himself to such a pointless scenario for the dignity of oneself.
And with that troublesome worry, Kim Dokja certainly was a fool.

“That’s a question with a lot of variables,” Kim Dokja dodges with a flourish of his hand. He winces.
“Fine, then answer this, Dokja.” Lee Hyunsung pinches the bridge of his nose. “Can you truthfully say you always go out the front door with the intention of making it back in one piece?”
“I’ve got your back and you got mine,” Kim Dokja eventually says, as Yoo Joonghyuk and Han Sooyoung quietly discuss what to do down the hall. “That’s all there is to it.”
You don’t always get warning signs or alarm bells to tell you that you may need to grieve before you are ready to. You can’t say Kim Dokja wasn’t generous—he gave them plenty of time to figure it out.
