For someone like Lu Guang, who started to become more and more desperate for a way out, for a way to finally save Cheng Xiaoshi from his fate, maybe it would've been better to have his life play out like that eternally, rather than trying to make a change.
Maybe then, if he'd accepted this cursed fate of his, at least Cheng Xiaoshi would still be alive and well.
