No use in dwelling, Steve thinks, hauling himself to his feet. Tonight he donned his old scoops uniform, knees and face caked in blood. The monsters who'd hunt Steve and his sea of fallen 'teammates' were brutal and efficient, making it near impossible to help someone who'd been caught by the assailant. A scream rings out through the fog-filled plain. He'd heard it an unfortunate amount of times he spent with his kids, and he hoped it was just a trick from the brutal killer lurking around the area.
