Zoro’s eye meets his own. He tips the bottle of beer he’s been nursing back, throat working as he swallows, and lets out a hearty belch that has Sanji’s nose crinkling. “Candy,” he replies, and Sanji blinks once in confusion before the meaning sets in and he feels his cheeks warm.
“Oh.”

After Wano, Sanji and Zoro have finally come together the way they were always meant to. In this, they've started to get to know each other by sharing the little things—little things like their two year separation, and what happened in their time apart. Candy is one of those things. -

Summary
She puffs on her cigarette as she watches the approach much more sedately, quietly keeping an eye on how far over the Sunny’s railing most of their devil fruit eaters are leaning. With their luck, Luffy’s going to end up taking a dive before they reach the docks in his excitement and probably dragging poor Chopper with him for good measure.
A warm, steady presence pulls up beside her, and she leans into the heavy arm that wraps itself around her waist.
“I’ll fish him out if he falls,” Zoro’s voice murmurs in her ear, reading her thoughts like he’s always been good at. Her lips curl up at the corners.
“Of course you will,” she agrees amiably. “I’ve got to finish takin’ inventory since we’ll be here long enough to restock, so I certainly don’t have time for it. You better not catch a cold, though—chicken soup isn’t on the menu.”
“I don’t get sick, Cook.”
She snickers. “First time for everything here on the Grand Line. You never know what might happen.”

The crew stop over at a winter island in the middle of the Yuletide festival. Sanji and Zoro, recently reunited after two years apart, take the time to enjoy a little date of their own. -

Summary
The mermaid swims up to the glass, climbing in the current until he reaches the third tier of the viewing platforms- right where Zoro is standing. Their faces align on opposite sides of the glass and Zoro feels his breath catch.
He's smiling. A charming twist of his lips as vibrant blue eyes gleam in the light of the tank. His hair halos his features, his bangs floating away and showing off an unusual set of curled eyebrows. His ears are pointed and webbed, and there's a smattering of iridescent scales across his cheeks that sparkle like freckled gemstones, accentuating the narrow cut of his jaw.
Fuck- He’s beautiful.
And then, the mermaid opens his mouth.
“I don’t qualify as a fish."

such a cute and fun little mermay fic !! i loved getting to picture sanji in his mer form because really mers would be MASSIVE if they existed and it always makes me giddy when the usual short(er) one of my ship gets to be the very large deadly creature that the other falls in love with on sight 🤲❤️
also the little aquarium map was SUPER CUTE i wish i could visit myself someday 🥺

If you are able to win one hundred matches, you will be allowed to become a citizen of Germa, and you will be freed."
When Zoro gets captured by Germa, he's sent to the Grand Coliseum, forced to fight for his freedom. Sanji, the Emperor's least favorite son, approaches him with a deal: Sanji will give Zoro all the help he needs to conquer the Coliseum, if in exchange Zoro claims the prince as his prize at the end. Will the two make it out of Germa unscathed? Or will their lives - and their deaths - belong to the Emperor?

this actually had me on the edge of my seat the further zoro made it into his battles i was genuinely hooked from beginning to end and even super sad that some of his opponents had to die (rip killer 💔) because i really loved the relationships he cultivated with them while imprisoned 😭 loved seeing the original oneshot expanded into a full longfic too i remember reading it and wanting more and now there IS more and im going to be enjoying rereading this for a while to come <3

A massive silhouette shadows the doorframe to the kitchen. Sanji’s eyes water as the scent of loam and mire join the introduction of a man at the entrance.
Bronze, scarred skin. Cropped green hair. A piercing, singular eye.
It’s the same man that Sanji had seen before, previously lain lifeless in the manor basement.
“What the hell?” Sanji whispers.
The man’s steps are hefty and loud, as if the lift of his knee is cut at the height of his step. He makes his way into the kitchen and Sanji retreats to the wall behind himself.
The green-haired brute slowly plods his way around the island and towards the kitchenette. His presence draws with it the acrid scent of alchemical ozone. And when he steps up closer, his silver iris pins Sanji with its focus.🜊 ── 🝦 ── 🜊

I LOVE THIS FIC SO MUCH absolutely one of my top 10 faves of the year i ADORE the steampunk-y, frankenstein-esque vibes of the setting and how zoro is just a little more creature than human now with whatever alchemical stuff is running through his veins and how sanji helps bring not only him but also mihawk and perona back to their humanity and also back together by simply Caring About Them and wanting to help 🥺❤️ spooky gothic horror is SUCH a good genre and this fic does it very nicely 🫶
