Summary
Shin is fine and she's alive. She has hobbies and she is getting a degree. There's food in the fridge and a positive balance in her bank account. The boxes under "acceptable life" are all checked. And yet, when Sabine Wren breezes into the picture, the idea of just getting by becomes something bitter, threatening to upend the fragile balance Shin's built.
The challenge is deciding whether to burn it all down and let something new sprout from the ashes or to, as the prophets say, stick to the status quo.

And now she is standing in front of a girl wearing the same bright pink coat from earlier, brightening up her impossibly monochrome foyer, debating whether or not she should take a drastic measure such as this one. It’s a risky move, and it could have potentially cataclysmic effects. She makes a decision.

The semester ended early and Wednesday left Nevermore with more questions than answers. Who was her new stalker? Was the Hyde really dead? And why did hugging Enid unleash a plague of rats that threatened to rip her apart from the inside?
Wednesday would soon find out that the twisted web Nevermore weaved was much more tangled than she had first thought, and soon find that sometimes the answers to her questions were right in front of her the whole time.
Join her as she fights both figuratively and literally to answer the questions that consume her with the help of the friends she finds along the way.

This time it can’t be mistaken. A singular droplet falls from Wednesday’s eyelid, caught by the back of her hand. The pair watch in equal shock, eyes following her hand as it lowers back to her side. She clears her throat and turns back to face the way they were walking.
“You are injured and clearly in severe pain. As appealing as that may be, I cannot see that being something that you may enjoy. You were struggling to walk, I was simply assisting.”
