Bookmarker's Notes
such an incredible read. i want a hundred books and fics written like this. the character study here was done on so many levels and it's just subtle enough that when it hits you, it's a wonderful surprise, considering it's something that was right there in front of you the whole time. i'm always impressed by fanfic authors when they can take pre-existing characters and expand on them in ways that it is so obvious only they can. particular the character study of eddie through the interviews and steve's point of view in combination with the character study of steve just from his own POV was so well done and i loved this story so much. i finished it a little under a week ago and i'm still thinking about it. i'm sure when i go back to reread this, i'll be finding something that i missed the first time. absolutely worth the read.

Summary
“Kyan Reki, please, renounce your delinquent ways and be my boyfriend!”
Reki stares at the top of her head for a long moment, his ears ringing ever so slightly. Her hair is so long that it nearly touches the pavement while she’s bent over like that. He takes so long to answer that Tanaka stands up straight again. Her cheeks are flushed bright red.
“What delinquent ways?” Reki finally asks.
Or: Someone likes Reki. If only there was one tiny thing different about him. Surprising no one except Reki, Langa is possessive and/or jealous over it. Now with added love letters, confessions, bisexual crises, and dubious skateboarding knowledge.

Summary
Langa has mixed feelings about the sudden move to Okinawa, but he quickly gets swept up in a whirlwind of new experiences. He isn't sure how he will cope with a new school, new job, adjusting to a language he's questionable in at best, and... an illegal skating ring? How will his newly developing relationships fare against the threat of everything unraveling at the hands of the founder of S?
Or: A trans!Langa fic that I wrote in the midst of an identity crisis that I hope is decent representation <3

Summary
It's been a year since Prince Langa smiled. The queen offers a reward to anyone who can fix that. Reki would give it a try, but he's pretty sure being the one who broke the prince's heart disqualifies him.
“You’ve been quiet. Are you jealous?”
Reki lurches up. “Jealous of what?”
Miya’s brow angles impossibly higher. “Of all the attention the prince is getting?”
Right, of course. That’s what anyone would be jealous over. “I just don’t believe it. Prince Langa isn’t…” he waves one hand, frowning, “...like that.”
“Ha,” Miya crows. “Like you’d know.”
But he does. And Reki thinks: I could do it. I could make him smile. I’ve done it before.
