“Is that a direct order from my superior, oh fearless leader?” Lance jokes, ever the wise guy, and gets a boot thrown at him for his efforts. He dodges it expertly, laughing as he comes to a stop in front of Keith’s chair. “Someone’s pushy tonight.”
“It’s been a long day, I need a stress reliever, not someone adding more weight on my shoulders. I thought that’s what this was? Two friends letting off some steam together?”

He watches as Keith’s nostrils flare, and his eyes fall shut for a few moments. He even takes a deep breath, like he’s praying for patience.
