He hisses and the eye closest to the gash waters instinctively. His gaze flits up to meet yours, so green this close up. “I’ve been distracted lately.”
You grab a cloth to wipe up any excess blood and alcohol surrounding the cut. “Distracted by what?” You can feel his breathing grow unsteady and you struggle to maintain your own.
Eren doesn’t answer your question. He doesn’t have to. His eyes drop to your lips. You freeze. He grabs your wrist where it hovers in front of the cut you’ve been tending to and gently moves it away. “You’re killing me,” he whispers, so quiet you would have missed it were you not inches from his face.
You can’t help the way your lips part. Eren’s hold on your wrist tightens and he leans forward, nose brushing against yours. You can feel your insides turning to mush, any thoughts of stopping him melt away as he takes over all of your senses. “I don't know what to do, Eren.”
