Summary
Six hundred million Yen. It was obscene. Impossible. A sum of money that could fund hospitals, schools, orphanages. And it was being spent on her, on her body, on her future, as though she were a painting to be hung on a wall or a horse to be stabled and bred.
She wanted it to stop.
The heat was unbearable. The collar was suffocating. The lights were too bright, the voices too loud, the weight of three hundred eyes too heavy to bear. She sighed, putting her head down.
Her chin dropped to her chest, and her bangs fell forward, hiding her face from the crowd. She could not watch anymore. Could not listen. Could not bear to see who would win, who would own her, who would take her away to a future she could not imagine.
Just to stop her head from aching.
“Going once,”
The auctioneer’s voice was distant now, muffled, as though she were hearing it from underwater.
“Going twice.”
The crowd held its breath.
“Sold!”

Summary
During a weeklong conference in Okinawa, Utahime needs to: 1) make a good impression to please her boss, 2) mingle with important sorcerers from all over the world, 3) avoid awkward conversations about her cursed technique, 4) work on a presentation about sorcery with her other colleague, 5) enjoy some much-needed respite on the beach and in the ocean, and 6) ignore the urge to blow up on Gojo Satoru and embarrass herself in a professional setting.
But with the resurgence of old memories, unsettling concerns about other sorcerers' ulterior motives, and feelings better left unsaid rising to the surface, Utahime learns the hard way that needing and wanting are two very different things.
(Or, every good show needs a Beach Episode, but let's make it complicated.)

“I know you.” She states.
His eyebrows rise and eyes widen. “What a coincidence." His hand holding hers on his cheek, pressing it closer to his face. “I know you too.”
