Summary
Magic. The word makes her want to vomit. She used to be magic. She used to wear roller skates and bright pink scrubs and dispense unyielding optimism like it was candy. But it was always a lie. A beautifully constructed, meticulously maintained lie.
TW: mental health, depression, mention of disordered eating patterns, suicidal thoughts.

Summary
And through all of that agonizing uncertainty, when I didn't know my own name or my own heart, you were there. Even when we were screaming at each other, even when we were separated, even when we sat in those sterile courtrooms fighting over the most precious thing we ever created together. You were the constant. You were the beating heart I couldn't ignore, no matter how hard I tried.
OR: Arizona writes Callie a love letter.

“I looked away from the road. I tossed your phone. I ran us into a truck. Please, Calliope, blame me.” Arizona's voice cracked with desperation and a sob wrenched free, despite her attempts to wrestle it back. “Please, blame me,” she whispered, cracking and pleading. “Please, please, blame me. Don’t blame yourself.”

Summary
"Come on," Arizona said. "It’ll be quick once we get going.”
It was not quick once they got going.
Callie was kneeling on the floor and muttering under her breath as she dragged the brush along the line of the baseboards, and Arizona was trying not to laugh while she ran the roller up and down the large, empty pieces of wall.
**
Or: Callie and Arizona are trying to paint the guest room, but they're a bit stubborn and daft and end up having an incredibly domestic and fluffy paint fight.

Summary
This is an AU where Arizona and Callie agree to do long-distance when she goes to Africa, instead of breaking up.
Years later, things go south. The fic is Arizona-focused and is basically a monologue.
I have a beef with Callie, you've been warned.Bookmarked by svtwrn
