The blurry figures of two white-and-red Wen mechs stomp on scene with the fury of the fire their reactors spit at the world around them; he can just barely make out the shape of the purple mech slinking between them, looking for all the world like a breathtaking whirlwind.
It takes Huaisang another moment of watching to realize, oh, that’s Jiang Wanyin.
And another to realize: oh, he’s losing.
Nie Huaisang is a late bloomer. Jiang Cheng may have bitten off more than he can chew. Nie Mingjue just wants his brother to be safe.
