"Cha-chapstick challenge!?" Toto sputtered. Of course he knew, he'd seen the trend on social media.
The chapstick challenge is where one tries to guess what kind of chapstick the other is wearing by any means possible—usually by kissing them.
Ron’s grin widened as he watched Toto squirm in his seat. The detective picked up a chapstick, twisting off the cap with deliberate slowness. “The point is to use your senses, Officer Isshiki. You’ll have to rely on more than just sight or touch. Taste, smell… and maybe a bit of intuition.”
Toto gulped. “I-I get the idea, but this is… well, a bit extreme, isn’t it?” He glanced nervously at the assortment of chapsticks. Flavors ranged from ordinary ones like cherry and vanilla to more exotic ones like matcha and honey lavender.
Ron leaned closer, his voice dropping to a teasing whisper. “It’s not extreme. It’s practical. If you want to get better at making deductions, you have to push your limits, even in unconventional ways. Don’t you trust me?”
