Zoro is good at silence. He's good at keeping his distance, and he’s especially good at pretending that seeing Luffy once a year at their high school reunion is enough. But this year, the bar empties out, the drinks catch up to him, and Zoro finally slips up.
Now, the one person he’s spent years hiding his feelings from is refusing to let him pull away.

“You’re not even the slightest bit worried, huh?” Sanji snorts after another deep drag.
Zoro shrugs. “He’s the captain. He’s gonna be King of the Pirates. With ambitions like that, the least he can do is survive.”
There’s a pause, and then Sanji laughs, “Y’know, he said something like that about you too. At the Baratie. Remember? That if you were gonna be his first mate, the least you could do was beat the strongest swordsman in the world.” A shadow crosses his face as he taps ash into the tray. “Right after you almost got cut in half.”

Summary
Bathtime with Luffy is usually Zoro's responsibility. He's the one who hauls Luffy out of the water and so he's the one who dunks him into it. Freshwater doesn't hurt a devil fruit user - it's the specificity of the salt that does it, the mix of ocean water that drains the energy from a devil fruit user and makes them sink. The Going Merry's baths aren't 100% freshwater.

Summary
Zoro's decided that maybe it doesn't matter exactly what they're doing. Probably it's best to just not think about it too much. If something's good, let it be good. Go with the flow. Don't rock the boat. All that kind of thing.
As the Straw Hats head for the Grand Line, things with Luffy are good, and Zoro is all good, too.
