Summary
Besides that there is that little feeling. A tinge of excitement and something she can't name because she's never felt it before. It reminds her of the moment following jumping off a building with her tether. Eyes closed, heart racing — and before she’s caught and anchored and reassured of her safety there is the half second of flying, of being pulled to the Earth. It feels similar enough here, captured and crystallized in that moment with Kate Bishop. Which begs the next question — will she experience it again?

Summary
There was a trick to Three Card Monte, and that was the Queen was never on the table. Grifting is a lot like that, to Yelena. Conceal and lie, and finally rob the mark of everything before they know the trick. And Yelena is a good grifter; but there was something about Kate Bishop, White Knight for Bishop Security— the thoroughness and intelligence, and not to mention that she was full of surprises— that was all very bad for an art thief. She was so going to get caught, which was embarrassing.

Summary
Vi looks at the big clock on the far wall. 7:46AM. She’s one minute late today. Every morning for the past six months - well, every morning Vi’s been on shift, so she’s just assuming about the other days - she’s passed by at exactly 7:45AM, always at a brisk walk, always in a perfectly-tailored suit, not a single long, silky-looking hair out of place.
7:47AM. The crisp clack of heeled boots on concrete pulls Vi out of her musings. There must have been some sort of emergency, because the subject of Vi’s (minor) obsession walks past the fire station at a faster clip than normal. Which is sort of saying something, because Mystery Woman’s got legs for days, long and slender, visibly toned with long, lean muscle through her suit pants. At the faster clip, Vi has less time to admire her ass and tiny, tiny waist as she walks by, but that’s fine, because the view as she leaves is fantastic.
