Summary
About a month ago, Kaeya broke up with Childe.
At a party, Childe seeks him out and forces him to talk.

“So?” Kaeya’s eyebrows lift. Childe’s fingers twitch at his side, and he spots the way Kaeya’s gaze flits downward and then goes up again. “I hope there was a good reason for bringing me up here,”
“Don’t give me that,” Childe cocks his head to one side. He stares at Kaeya’s smile for one second, another, then lets out a groaning sigh and runs his hands through his hair, closing his eyes. He enjoys the darkness for a second— if he ignores his other senses, Kaeya’s presence feels the same as it always has, even when nothing else is.
When he opens his eyes again, Kaeya’s frowning at him. Childe likes this better than the smile.
Kaeya tilts his head. His eye narrows. “Then what do you want?” It’s clear he’s trying to sound amused, but Childe can’t help but think that he sounds more frustrated than anything.
“I’m trying to be comfortable here,” he jokes. The joke isn’t funny.“Fuck,” the curse slips out before Childe can catch it, but he embraces the honesty. “Kaeya, nothing about this is comfortable.”

Summary
Ajax and Kaeya are drinking together, and Ajax should really stop playing that guitar, because Kaeya's too drunk to be thinking these thoughts about Ajax's gorgeous hands.

Ajax’s confessing his love with music. Kaeya’s internally confessing his sins with alcohol and lips zipped so tight they might glue themselves together. Ajax’s singing him a love song, and all Kaeya can think about is the way those fingers glide across the guitar, wondering what they’d feel like on his skin, in his hair, in him.

Summary
When Kaeya visits Ajax's family, things are... tense. His father will hardly even look at them. Kaeya decides that if giving his father a scolding is what will make Ajax smile again, then he'll do it.

“Nobody goes to a harbinger for love.”
Kaeya counts to three. Then, with very much self-control, he smiles. “Actually,” Kaeya starts. His voice is low, barely a whisper as the wind steals most of it away. “Your son is more than his title. He’s more than just a harbinger.”
Ajax's father narrows his eyes at him. “He’s forgotten how to be anything else.”
Kaeya keeps smiling. He smiles so hard that the corner of his lips start to hurt, and the way his skin stretches over his face feels unnatural and wrong. "Are you blind?"

Summary
Kaeya came all the way from Mondstadt to Fontaine because he had a hunch that Childe was injured. An annoying doctor is trying to force Kaeya to confront his feelings in the weirdest way possible. It's working.

Childe looks young when he sleeps. The eyes of an experienced warrior age him, and the scars on his skin tell more tales than a young man should have to tell; but when he's asleep, that exaggerated maturity melts away and he looks everything like just a boy. It makes Kaeya reach out a hand, gently caressing along the line of his jaw.
– and then the door slides open, and Kaeya pulls his hand back with hysteric urgency.
“It is perfectly legal in Fontaine–”
Kaeya feels his face turn red. "NO."

Shame hits Kaeya. A deep, well-aimed stab to his gut, and his eyes immediately drift away from Ajax’s face again. “...I can’t,” he admits. It is nothing more than a mumble, as if he is embarrassed to admit so– he is. To still be stuck in bed, stuck under the covers, hiding from the man that has prepared a vacation of pure dreams… it feels awfully, awfully mean.

Summary
Kaeya never dreamed that a simple mission of taking out a Fatui base could go so incredibly wrong.
After an unfortunate accident, Kaeya becomes a child, slowly losing his memories of his estranged brother and home. Diluc is determined to do whatever is necessary to get his brother back, and restore the Cavalry Captain back to his former self.
But will the Fatui's sinister plot be more than either of them or the Knights can handle?
