Her hiding place. He could picture her here, sitting in the doorway, watching the rain, or the clouds drifting across the sky. Because no matter how many friends she had made ever since, her quiet solitary nature did not change. It was reassuring, in a way, to know that some things would always be, an ever-fixed mark, lasting and unchanged.

Summary
Suhyeok doesn't know much about Namra.
He doesn't know her favourite colour or whether she has a pet or even if she knows he exists.
But what he does know is that she's the most diligent and hardworking person he's ever met; that she prefers sitting in the back of the class nearest to the window and hates sitting in the front. He knows that she smells like strawberries and that she sings slow love songs under her breath when she thinks no one is paying attention. But Suhyeok is always paying attention, always the first head to perk up at the rare moments he gets a glimpse at her.
The most certain thing Suhyeok knows regarding Namra is that he is utterly in love with her.

Summary
Namra points soundlessly, moving her finger towards and away her own lip so he can see.
It’s the first time she’s ever acknowledged him. He’s transfixed.
‘Blood,’ her pink lips move to mouth.
Startled, Suhyeok pats his finger against his own lips, pulling it back to confirm that, indeed, he is bleeding.
“I, uh,” he stumbles, still staring at her with wide-eyes. “Fighting. I got it… from a fight,” he says the latter weakly, and gives a thumbs-up to prove that he’s perfectly fine.
(Or, It takes Suhyeok a bit too long to realize he's friends with Bad People.)Inspired by this prompt:

Suhyeok’s heart lurches. He stills himself, stopping the beam that wanted to escape his whole being. He puts his arms around his knees, and squeezes them forcefully. “Huh,” he says, trying for normalcy. “I’m different, yeah?”
He licks his lips, feigning nonchalance. He tries his best to stay still, just as if she hadn’t just made him melt like human ice cream. Namra reaches for his hand, grasping his with her own. He hopes that even after all this ends, their hands will still be the same. Together. Intertwined. Forever, and ever.
“Yeah,” she whispers, then squeezes his hand.
