Every goddamn sign post, every tumbleweed bouncing along side of the interstate, every saguaro or broken down sedan or sky-high gas price you pass, somehow meanders its way back down a path to Lightning McQueen, so even when you’re trying not to look at her, you end up conjuring her up in your mind’s eye. It’s fucking annoying.

The relief itself was sudden, but the pain took several seconds to abate, so he focused on the hiss against porcelain, wincing as he emptied himself in a golden foaming spray for what felt like fucking forever. Then, at long last, his body felt like his again, released from its strange captivity. He was sweating when it was over, a fine sheen on his brow that he wiped with the sleeve of his jumpsuit. When he emerged, Doc stood outside, looking pleased with himself.

My mouth drops open, "You want me to beg?"
"Grace begging like human pet ringing bell. Is next step in my plan."
OR: Grace assumes that, after the first time Rocky propositioned him, his curiosity was satisfied. Turns out it's quite the opposite.
