Summary
Once Mike and Will finally crossed that line with each other it turns out it was extremely hard to hide a relationship when all you wanted to do was hump each other’s brains out.
Innocent shared looks across the table turned into a dangerous game of footsie under the table and sitting too close together on the couch became playing a game of chicken under a blanket while the rest of their friends tried to watch the VHS tape they had rented for the night.
It soon became a dangerous game of ‘How quick can we have sex before someone almost barges in on us’

“What if… What if you didn’t say it?”
Mike frowns. “I already don’t say it. That’s kind of the whole problem.”
“No. I mean, what if you didn’t have to say it,” Will explains, “You know how we both learned Morse Code back in fifth grade after Mrs. Jenkins sat us on opposite sides of the classroom?”
“Yeah but that would take forever to tap out in Morse Code,” Mike says, scrunching his nose.
“Then you can just shorten it. Just three taps. Like this.” Will leans forward, patting Mike’s knee three times before pulling back again with a bright smile. “See? Quick and easy and, more importantly, no awkward words required.”

He assumed the repeated motions had lulled him back into deeper sleep until Mike’s face peeked out from under the blanket. His eyes met Will’s for a long second before he whispered.
“Can we just,” he paused then, just barely, “stay like this forever?”
Will felt the corners of his lips start to tug. “What do you mean?”
Mike’s lazy arms tightened around his waist, pulling him closer under the sheets. It felt impossible given how close they already were. Somehow, he still managed to hook a long leg over both of Will’s.
“Like, just you and me.”
