Lonnie was rarely paranoid, she could fight, she worked out- rigorously in fact- and her security was too advanced for her to not know when someone was lurking in her base. Yet the paranoid feeling persisted, the feeling of being watched making Lonnie fidget, her green eyes darting around the computer screens in front of her.
If there was someone in her base, she couldn’t let them know that she knew.

Summary
A new rogue emerges into Gotham's scene, following the death of the 2nd Robin and introduction of the 3rd. While he is not causing havoc alongside his new clownish mentor, he is trying to dig through his memory for any semblance of his life before Gotham. Only to come across unexplainable hurdles along the way, that could only be assisted by a certain traffic light looking sidekick.
Or
A young Joker henchman appears as a retaliation to the introduction of the 3rd Robin. Only the new sidekick does not have a secure head on his shoulders.

After the second time Lonnie Machin falls from a height into water.
Still, Lonnie jumped on purpose. He’s prepared for this, and he hits the water feet first. That’s an improvement over last time, and he doesn’t panic. His mouth is closed, so the water only goes up his nose instead of down his throat and he doesn’t panic. He has a breath and he’s trained since last time so that this wouldn’t happen again. He isn’t going into this expecting to die. He’s going to live. He’s not going to drown in the Potomac river, not if he survived Gotham Harbor.

No, the other one.Lex didn’t have the dubious privilege of hearing the boy speak until after his carefully scripted and precisely delivered acceptance speech, when, as he dismounted the stage, a voice cut through the scattered applause. It was a Gotham accent saying a sentence that he was nearly positive was more likely to be some kind of watchphrase for mind control or demonic possession than a legitimate statement of opinion.

presumed deadMissing. He knows, logically, that their survival isn’t likely. He knows the death toll of the earthquake. He knows the casualties only climbed higher in the days and weeks afterwards. He knows what their house looked like that night. He can’t believe it though. He’s not stupid, even Anarky’s most condescending detractors know better than to call him that. Lonnie doesn’t think they’re alive. He just, they’re not dead. His parents can’t be dead, so they aren’t. Believing it doesn’t help him sleep better. You know, The General kept Lonnie in that coma for a while, and he probably didn't treat him that well.The worst part, in a long line of worst parts, was that all this wasn’t about him. Ulysses manipulated him, shot him, poisoned him, imprisoned him in his own body, made him completely dependent on him, and it was all a mere byproduct of his vendetta against Robin. The thing was, that Lonnie knows Robin. He met Robin when he was 13 years old. Robin saved his life, and was nicer to him afterwards than Lonnie expected, even as he arrested him.

“I won’t lie to you…” Tim’s glare was level to Bruce’s abdomen, but he felt the stare nonetheless. “He came to me as a circus kid, flying high every night, defying death. He was primed for this life.”
Tim grimaced. Right, he was the odd one out. Dick was a Flying Grayson; he created the mantle--emblazoned the legacy for the two to come. And Jason- Jason created shoes too big to fill. And Tim was just Tim.
“But.” Two steady hands placed themselves on Tim’s shoulders, and soon Tim was eye level with Bruce as the man knelt down to fix his intense gaze onto him, his voice rumbling in the familiar way that was just Bruce, not the Batman that usually spoke to him. “That doesn't mean you can’t be equal to him as Robin. You’re putting in the work, and that’s what it’s all about.”
Swallowing, Tim kept fighting the tears of frustration and broke eye contact to glare at the ground, cheeks burning in shame and embarrassment.
Bruce kept fixing him with an expression that was just too earnest for Tim to comprehend, before he sighed and straightened to his full height, grunting at the action. “Let’s take 10.”

Summary
Lonnie Machin was Anarky, now he's Moneyspider. Tim Drake was Robin, now he's Red Robin, and both are searching for meaning in their new identities. Lonnie has to wrestle with a body that, thanks to Ulysses Armstrong, doesn't work the way he remembers, alongside trying to reclaim his old identity. Tim doesn't know what he wants.
Lonnie sees Anarky as his calling, Tim sees Red Robin as a punishment. After Lonnie wakes from his coma, they're both left to figure themselves out all over, except, maybe this time, they have a hand to hold.
Tim knows how he feels, he just doesn't want to. Lonnie doesn't know what he wants.
