Eugene sighed as he massaged his temple. It had been a very long day filled with very boring paperwork, but to him it was a small price to pay if it meant getting to help people. Eugene was part of the CPD, or the Corona Police Department, and he loved his job, but he loathed paperwork.
Shaking his head, Eugene picked up his pen to continue working on the files when Pete stepped in
“Deputy Chief,” he greeted.
“Officer Pete.” Eugene responded,
“The Chief and Assistant Chief are busy currently and need you to investigate a thug who was recently caught robbing a convenience store. He’s being held in detainment room 1.”Eugene walked down the halls to the detainment room. He wondered what this ‘thug’ looked like. Was he your run of the mill type of thief or was this a different case?
Out of all the things Eugene expected, a scrawny little kid was certainly not one of them….

When Eugene went to work that morning, he was expecting to come home with loads of paperwork and exhaustion. Something he definitely didn’t expect to be taking home was a kid….
