Summary
Eddie Kaspbrak was forty years old when he found Richie caught in the deadlights and found himself completely unable to move.
He had no idea what to do or who to call to for help, but he knew he couldn’t just keep standing there doing nothing when Richie was in trouble again. Memories of Richie running to Eddie’s aid and calling out to him to keep him safe crowded Eddie’s mind. He remembered Richie always being the first one at his side when he was scared, remembered Richie trying to distract him from the horror of being attack by Pennywise and the pain of having broken his arm as yelled, “Eddie, look at me. Look at me!” He scrambled the contents of his brain to come up with a way to get Richie out of the state he was stuck in.
It was his turn to keep Richie safe.
Clutching the spear in his hand, he shut his eyes tightly and let out a shaky breath. He knew what he had to do.
“This…kills monsters. If you believe it does.”
And because it was Richie, he had to believe that it did.
So he threw it.

Sharpie marker subscript right under the hyphen, rebelling against everything that had ever been inscribed, imprinted, indoctrinated into Hyunjin, for the better or worse part of his life:
“THE HOLY GHOST MAKES MY DICK HARD”
It's so stupid, it's something he did as a dumb teen to impress whoever was his crush at the time. But now here he is, a dumb twenty-year-old adult child with his current crush, someone he'd met not even a month ago. He shows his work to Felix, whose subsequent laughter and blooming freckles build the foundation of his new religion.

There’s comfort in making a new friend who feels so familiar. That is, until Minho becomes a nuisance. Not from teasing him about his nasally voice and the blank, far-away expression that is Seungmin’s resting face. Not from constantly bothering him to clarify what the professor is saying with her thick accent which he says is, apparently, indecipherable.
No, those are all little things Minho does to make Seungmin’s life just the tiniest bit harder. Things he acts on to worm his way further into his life. Minho is new but nostalgic, a familiar stranger. Seungmin finds himself actually looking forward to feeling whatever he has to offer.

Felix hands Seungmin the spare key over the counter. Attached to that thin silver key is the lucky red rabbit’s foot that Hyunjin gave him. It’s an icon of Felix, the god of the mundane. Because just like himself, Seungmin is looking for answers in a world that doesn’t seem to have them.
