Summary
Chigiri Hyoma is a bounty hunter, and he works solo, thank you very much. A malfunction of his prosthetic right leg and a stern lecture from his contractor throws a wrench in that plan, however, and he’s paired on his next assignment with the cold and surly Kunigami Rensuke. Neither of them agree on how to carry out the assignment—which, according to Chigiri’s contractor, is an easy revenge killing a child could carry out—and neither of them are willing to back down. But in this conflict-torn dystopian cityscape, there’s more to everyone than meets the eye, and Kunigami is no exception. As their relationship begins to improve, the truth behind their current target slowly unravels, and they find themselves tangled in a scheme that’s much more dangerous than they thought.
