    But then Sonic came along.

    Sonic's light has chased away the darkness that has been ensnaring Shadow's existence for over a decade. But he's not the only light trying to shine down on the specter. There are others. Others who are loud, boisterous, and colorful.

    Shadow doesn't know if he's ready to get close to them, but if Sonic trusts them, then maybe, just maybe, he can at least give them a chance...

He thought he and Silver had got rid of the virus for good. He thought this was over.It's creeping into his heart and mind. His thoughts are foggy, and his body aches with a foreign pain he'd never wish on his worst enemies. But he can't stop running.If he stops, it's over. He runs, and runs, and runs. Through metallicized villages and abandoned cities. Past the hobbling hordes of Zombots. Everything gleams unnaturally in the moonlight, blinding him as he runs. He doesn't know how much more of this he can take.

    Thankfully, tonight's vibe is a bit quieter, just enough so that Shadow can actually understand what people are saying to him. It's for a reason, though. Apparently, a plan finally made it out of the group chat, and a bunch of their friends have gathered to hang out at Club Rouge. Perks of knowing the owner (and the owner being part of the plans) include getting in, regardless of age. No one's here to drink, anyway. They just wanted a place to hang, and Club Rouge was offered. From his seat at the bar, Shadow can see a bunch of rarer faces gracing them tonight.
