“I’m putting my mask back on,” he says matter-of-factly. “I shouldn’t have taken it down in the first place. I don’t know why I did that; I guess I just can’t help flirting with a pretty girl. Do you live up there all alone?”
“What, do you want to come inside or something?”
You meant to ask if that was his lame attempt at flirting, but clearly, your brain was back to slipping on metaphorical banana peels. Did he want to come inside? Fucking A, you could name at least one thing that you wanted him to come inside of—
