“There you are. I’m sorry for making you wait.” The words felt silk to Jayce’s ears.
As he looked to his side, to find the owner of said voice, the whole world stopped, Jayce was sure of it. He felt his heart beat fast again, but this time not of anxiety, but something else entirely that Jayce couldn’t name yet. It was as if stars collided, a full new supernova forming at this moment, involving Jayce and the man beside him. The man took his breath away. Even with a mouth shut, the sound of his voice kept ringing inside Jayce’s mind, forever carved in there, and all of the rest felt silent. The owner of the voice probably felt the longing gaze on him, because he looked at Jayce’s direction, and smiled. That’s when Jayce saw it, two beautiful eyes, colored like honey or whiskey, Jayce couldn’t tell.
