Summary
Leonardo is dead.
Or, at least, he should be. Instead, he is floating within a colorful vortex that reminds him too much of his own portals. He tries not to think too much about it. But, eventually he is forced to when the vortex spits him out into a world that used to be his home, many, many years ago.
Or; the one where Future!Leo somehow managed to luck out on a one in a million mere millisecond chance of a freak glitch in the space-time continuum that sends him back into the present, where the Invasion has been successfully driven back. And it looks like it was a one-way ticket travel.
Obviously, everybody is So Very Normal about this.

Summary
"EAT SCIENCE!”
There it is, the whirl in his gut that shots through his chest like static electricity, shoving out the neutral and replacing it with a buzz that feels so right. His neutral mood is comfortable and normal, but this is- dare he say it- exhilarating.
Pride joins the buzz as his weapons zoom at Shredder in a flurry of glorious explosions, not one of the missing their mark.
The brilliance of the buzz vanishes when Shredder tackles each one of them, ruthlessly tearing them to pieces before his eyes. His babies are nothing more than metal and wires, dead before they had a chance to truly live. A stunned confusion takes over as he watches the armored claws slash through the drill like it was nothing, destroying the masterpiece that he'd spent months working tirelessly on.
-wait. No, this is wrong- this is wrong-
Shredder turns his attention to him and it occurs to Donnie that now there's nothing keeping the raging beast from doing the exact same thing to him.

Summary
It was Donnie's idea to come scavenge for all of his broken (useless) tech, but now he's just standing here staring at the scattered vestiges of what is essentially his life's work. All the time designing and building weapons, and for what? The Shredder tore through all of it like paper. Donnie put on a battle shell to come out, even though Leo told him not to because of the bruising, and it's starting to hurt. It suddenly feels like it's weighing him down, like his legs might collapse underneath him any second, and he can't move.
"Donnie?" Mikey leans into his line of sight, looking worried. He grabs Donnie's arm and gives it a little shake, and Donnie's arm moves limply. "Are you stuck?"
Donnie spends a good minute trying to get his mouth to work, "Y-yes."
/Donnie hyperfixates on a thing (as one does) and gives himself a panic attack. Allegedly.
