You've run from all you lost: your home, your family, your love. When your wanderlust carries you to a remote and eerily time-frozen village nestled in the Carpathian mountains, your only concern is finding a bed and work. Something that — you are assured by the local carpenter and his fearful daughter — can be found among the vast array of turrets casting a watchful eye over the shambled houses below. You quickly discover life at Castle Dimitrescu to be a waking nightmare, gruesome and shrouded in mystery. Why do the villagers accept the horrors within? Why are only women permitted entry? Who are Lady Dimitrescu's strange and lethal daughters — and why has the towering, beautiful and tyrannical countess taken a frightening interest in you?
Disclaimer: this story was fully planned out in February 2021, long before we knew anything significant about Lady Dimitrescu and her girls (and at a time I admittedly knew absolutely nothing about Resident Evil). As such, this has little to do with the canon of the game and contains backstories, characterisations, village history, and original characters that are completely my own fabrication. Please enjoy.

Summary
Sciamachy: noun; a battle against imaginary enemies; fighting your shadow
Silco had never expected to take in a child, but then again, life always had a way of not turning out the way he planned it to. Powder, now going by Jinx, had never expected her sister to leave her. It’s going to be a difficult adjustment for the both of them, but Silco is sure that he sees potential in her; sees parts of himself in her.
However, when you have an 11 year old daughter who is actively learning how to build bombs in her spare time, mishaps are bound to happen, and Singed has decided that he really can’t be wasting time in patching Jinx up every time she hurts herself. So the doctor does the next best thing - points Silco in the direction of a different doctor. Doctor Sylvestr Featherstone.
Sylvestr doesn’t expect criminal kingpin Silco to come stalking into his makeshift clinic on the edge of the Lanes at gone midnight but he can hardly turn down the crying girl who’s clinging to him. And so begins a very tentative and difficult relationship between a new father, a traumatised daughter, and the doctor who had given up on family a long time ago.
