   Summary

   As a member of the high nobility, he was invited to a ball. Bored by the event, he merely observed. Though countless ladies wished to dance with him, he turned them all down. It wasn't as if they wanted anything from him; it was his title that appealed to them. And perhaps the charm with which he carried himself.
   However, most were disappointed as soon as they realized how he behaved - not at all like the nobleman of their dreams.
   So it wasn't so bad for him to be alone for an evening. That had been his original plan anyway. He was already waiting for the event to end.

   Until his gaze caught on long golden hair, and a golden gown that was subtle, and yet impossible to ignore.
