When a big-mouthed leviathan revealed that Dean killed Amy, Sam felt very well done with his brother. They teamed up to take care of the town's ghost problem, but with the job finished Sam is itching to be rid of his brother again. Or so he thinks, until he finds Dean injured and the situation puts things into a different perspective.
