"At least this outfit is more modest than I expected. Anything like the cat maids from those Inazuman light novels and I'll be thrown into the wringer..." you muttered, pinching at the end of your frilly apron while fixing your headband. Wearing a mori-styled maid outfit with a pair of hazel ears and a long, forest green dress that extended past your ankle-high boots, you sheepishly twiddled with your hands.
"I-It's going be alright. Anything to draw more business to the Cat's Tail is a win in my book--" you stammered before hearing the doorbell ring. Whirling on your feet, you dutifully curtsied with a hand on your chest.
"Welcome to the Cat's Tail, my dear patrons. How may we serve you today?" you said with a practiced smile, only to have your chest plummet at the sight of a knight observing you with a hum, carrying an indifferent look in his eyes.
"Huh, wait--"
"Table for six, please. And do leave it on my tab. As a courtesy to my subordinates," Lohen answered, letting his bangs sweep over his eyes, as a ghost of a smile lingered on his lips.
"O-Out of all the people I had to greet, it had to be him--?!"

Okay, you'll admit it's a little more than that. You treasure each and every Cookie in your game like they are your own, and have dedicated far more than what would be considered a healthy amount of time to decorating, spoiling and deftly leveling up your little Cookies. You have laughed, wept, ached and cheered for them, have felt more emotion in years for little sprites on a screen, but at the end of the day, you are aware that it is all a game.
