Summary
“Did, uh,” Frankie starts. She sounds faint. “Did you just say your boyfriend?”
Ilya’s stomach drops. Oh. Oh, fuck.
He doesn’t know what his face does. There will probably be pictures of this moment all over the internet by tomorrow morning. He doubts it’s flattering, considering there’s a non-zero chance he’s going to throw up all over the microphone.
Ilya scrambles. Too tired, too shocked at his own brain’s betrayal to know how to fix this. “Blyat,” he spits. Then he laughs, and even he can hear that it sounds more wild than genuine. “English language is hard, yes? I meant my boys, my boys who are my friends. The Centaurs, yes? They are all my boy friends.”

No one knows he’s planning to run.
No one knows how much he’s breaking. And no one expects him to fall for Ilya Rozanov — the loud, brilliant, closeted Russian winger recently traded under suspicious circumstances.
Ilya has secrets he can’t share, a past he can’t escape, and feelings he doesn’t know how to handle.
Shane is learning how to live again.
Ilya is learning how to feel again.
Both are learning how to trust. But when the truth about their pasts threatens to surface, they’ll have to decide whether they can face it together — or lose each other trying.

Summary
He feels fizzy, fizzy, fizzy, like a soda can that’s been shaken and cracked open. There’s so much pressure building inside his chest that he can’t possibly keep it all inside. He laughs, just a quiet giggle at first, and then it becomes something louder. Something brighter. Something that bursts out of his chest and cracks through the echoing silence in the bathroom. He has to cover his mouth with his hand to stifle it.
Shane feels happy. Truly, deep down to his bones, happy.
He almost can’t believe it.

someone breaks into shanes apartment and beats him up and no one knows...well no one except ilya who shane butt dialed and heard the whole thing
----
“Hello?” Ilya whispered into the phone. Muffled sounds were coming through the small speakers, but he couldn’t pick anything out. He muted the TV and turned the volume on his phone as high as it would go, then pressed his ear against the speaker. There was a man’s voice echoing, but it wasn’t Shane.
“–ualt! All your fucking fault.”
