“You’re backing out?” Kaiser looks up at the other through her lashes, blade in her right hand and grabbing Ness’s thigh with the other. “You wanted to do this.”
The badly drawn out sharpie star sits on the crease of where her hip ends and her leg starts, staying a cruel reminder of what they were about to attempt. Ness bites her lip.
“No!” Ness defends. “I’m just scared my parents will see. Don’t do it too low.”

Ness falls silent, but there’s a fire in his eyes that lets Kaiser know this version of Ness is dangerous. Maybe his Ness is, too. Because, under Ness's gaze, Kaiser is completely-
