“You greedy shitheads,” Baba fumed, punching the would-be stabber in the stomach. “It wasn’t enough to take all the money I had left in the world? You had to go and rob an old, defenseless-”
“Who you callin’ old?”
Baba looked up and, there, backlit by the shop’s warm glow, was the most beautiful man he’d ever seen. He held the ringleader captive in his big, burly arms, lifted him over his own head and, with hardly any effort at all, threw him into the street. The thug went airborne before the force of his launch sent him skidding through dirty puddles and into some nearby trash cans like the world’s most painful slip’n’slide.
“Fucccccccck me,” Baba uttered dumbly, his initial angry, irritated air over the getting jumped fading into an embarrassing, breathy plea by the time he’d gotten to the end of his sentence.
“What, like, right now?” Saejima inquired mildly before dropping his shoulder to block the blond hoodlum from getting to the counter. “Kinda have my hands full at the moment.”

“Oh my God, it’s hideous,” Yuki breathed, covering her mouth with her hand. She stared at the striking, luminous, gold-plated Kiryu Kazuma statue with quiet horror, shuddered, and then turned to Majima, her eyes pleading. “It’s like 24-carat costumer repellant. I love Kiryu-san, truly. He was a great manager, and a nice man, but this thing is butt ugly and you know it.”
“It is not butt ugly,” Majima replied vehemently, crossing his arms over his chest to stare at the breathtaking spectacle. “It’s not even medium ugly. It just has, uh…niche audience appeal.”

“Do you have unfinished business?”
Majima did a double take.
“Haw?”
“Unfinished business,” Kiryu continued. “Things you wanted to do before you…”
“Before you let me die? Ya oblivious turd, you?”
Kiryu sighed; he’d only had a few days of this repeating litany of guilt-tripping and and it was already wearing on him.
“Yes, before that,” Kiryu answered indulgently. “Was there anything you can think of that you needed to do? Reasons you might stick around to complete? Maybe if we check them off, you’d be able to…”
“Evaporate into the wild blue yonder, or whatever?” Majima looked skeptical but, then again, he nearly always looked skeptical. “Ya tryin’ to get rid of me, Kazzy?”

Summary

“We have a few minutes to ourselves,” she said, resting her head in her hands as she looked at him. “How ‘bout we do a dry run date?”
“Don’t know how dry it’ll be,” Kiryu replied, to which Goromi’s eyebrows arched almost clear off her face. Kiryu held up his hands, which were damp and clammy.
“Nerves,” he explained, and Goromi chuckled, seeming amused despite herself.

Summary
After a decade in prison for Shimano's murder, Majima finds himself a very different man than Kamurocho once knew. Trying to determine where he fits in this new world, he is approached by Kiryu, who is committed to help him become the Mad Dog once more through a series of increasingly unhinged fights, costumes, and feelings. In the end, who is helping who become the man they're supposed to be? Maybe, they're just meant to figure it out together.

“Majima no niisan!”
A voice from his dreams. No, from his wildest fantasies, imagined so many times over the past ten, fifteen, almost twenty freakin’ years called to him, a goddamn siren song he would gladly drown himself to. A towering figure stepped out from the shadows and into the flashing, neon lights, his striking features thrown in sharp relief. It was like a scene out of a movie; whether it was an action flick, or a romance, or the greatest porno ever, it was all the same to Majima.
“Kiryuuuu-chan!” Majima trilled, his voice made big and loud with the growing feeling inside of him. His rictus grin, pulled back in wild, animalistic impulse, transformed into something damn near happy. Kiryu-chan was here. It was really him.
