Spoke pulled himself out of his thoughts as he blinked in suprise, tearing his gaze from the flower to glance at Mapicc. He let out a small audible chuckle, not trying to deny Mapicc’s question. “Since I have BAT behind my back now, I could approach them and still be reassured that the family wouldn’t be tangled into any mess I might make anymore. I won’t ever endanger them just because of my recklessness again. The mafia was a good lesson…” The last part came out slightly more sheepish than Spoke would admit, and Mapicc knew.
Mapicc tilted his head, a warm smile tugging at his lips. “Glad to see you’re actually thinking straight now dude.”

a world where Spoke never messed up that one mission BAT gave him, nothing bad followed after, he never got hunted down by Leow0ok and just continued working in BAT.
aka Spoke getting his redemtion arc. Maybe he finally could stay with that family without worrying about dragging them down with his mistakes.

Summary
There’s a specific frequency only animals can hear. So high pitched and sharp it’d make them writhe in pain. Dogs especially are sensitive to the noise. Whining aloud and desperately trying to cover their ears to make it stop. Crudelly mimicked by dog whistles to keep them in check.
But there’s an interesting thing most don’t know. Even if you can’t hear it, people are also affected by it. Maybe at best a phantom headache if it’s not too strong. Or at worse, death from internal organs rupturing from the vibrations.
And there’s a special tune in between. When done just right. Activates the neurons just so. Enough to make your brain act on impulse. Heightened by the pain it can’t understand and whiting out reason. Delegating function to subconscious actions rather than conscious ones. Making it more susceptible. More pliable.
Lettuce finds that frequency. And makes his very own dog whistle. Meant for just one person.
