Summary
“Addams by blood or by name are affected by the curse. You can’t escape it. Thing’s been our Uncle and an Addams our whole life,” Pugsley said shrugging.
“So when Thing rejoined Isaac..,” Tyler’s eyes lit up as he realized what happened.
“The curse got invoked,” Pugsley nodded.
“After I died the curse kicked in and I clawed my way out,” Wednesday finished. “I even beat my record from when Uncle Fester buried me alive when I was twelve.”
“What the fuck,” Tyler repeated to himself. “A curse that lets you kill each other for sport. Sure why not. It's not like you have any other curses.”
“Oh we do,” Pugsley happily burst his bubble. “All Addams are also cursed with insanely deep devotion. And the Frump women like Wednesday only love once, which for her is you.”
Tyler’s brain immediately shut down for seemingly good as his jaw dropped to practically the floor.
Wednesday snapped her head to Pugsley and bared her teeth at him. “I will have you in pieces for weeks when we get home, don't test me.”

Summary
“You’re incorrigible,” Wednesday flatly told him. “Truly after being in here for so long you lost the plot.”
“The only thing I’m lost on is you,” Tyler smirked at her with a predatory look in his eyes that made her body erupt in goosebumps.
Wednesday wanted to wipe that smirk off his face and make him pay. She wanted to punch him until he was a beaten bloody mess on the floor and also wanted to kiss him senseless.
To her annoyance Tyler would probably like either of those things and he looked even more attractive covered in blood so it was a lose lose situation.
All she could do was take a deep breath until she regained control.
“We should start planning our escape,” Wednesday said, trying to focus. “Now isn’t the time for whatever it is you think you’re doing.”
“What I’m doing is proving that I love you and it’s always the time for that cockroach especially since I’m making up for lost time,” Tyler hummed, clearly smug like he knew that would get to her.
Lilith help her it did.

“It’s bad, right?” Tyler asked, trying to read any kind of emotion on Wednesday’s stone face. “The state wants to incarcerate me after I graduate, since I don’t have any family members who can be my guardian.”
“The state does seem determined to put you back in chains again,” she confirmed, having read through the dossier of papers.
“So there’s no way out of this,” he despaired, smushing a pillow onto his face.
Cold fingertips flicked through his curls, like melting snowflakes on his scalp. “I didn’t say that,” Wednesday assured him. “While I’m allured by the idea of seeing you chained again, I do prefer to put them on myself. The state may be determined, but so am I, and I promise to find a way to solve this.”

Wednesday Addams will, of course, find a way to save her monster boy. But it’s not until he’s standing in front of a judge at the courthouse and is asked to say “I do” that Tyler realizes the extent of her promise.

“Wait, wait, wait, wait,” Griffin turned to place his hand on Tyler’s flannel-clad shoulder. “So you’re telling me that this girl took you to a chapel filled with all her friends and family, walked down the aisle to get to you, and tried to bind you two together for eternity?” He pulled back smug, arms crossed in his seat. “Sounds kinda like a shotgun wedding to me.”
Tyler gets teased about his obvious crush on Wednesday and their failed "shotgun wedding".
Matters don't improve when she suddenly shows up.
