Summary
Merlin disappears in the middle of the night, leaving behind nothing but a scream heard by a nearby servant, a smear of blood, and a castle full of unanswered questions.
Arthur is convinced it’s just Merlin being Merlin, until the hours stretch on, the clues grow stranger, and the fear in Camelot becomes impossible to ignore.
Arthur goes off on a journey to find the missing Merlin, to bring him home, back to Camelot.
But that’s harder than Arthur could have ever imagined.

Summary
Annabeth pulled up her t-shirt, using it as a makeshift mask. Her eyes squinted, attempting to see past the grey.
Blinded, she ran into a table corner and pain stuck up her knee. Annabeth bent down to inspect it, but in the process, let go of her mask.
Coughs overwhelmed her entire body, weakening her and making her dizzy. Bile rose in her throat and she fought for breath.
She eventually failed at staying conscious and her eyes closed before she even hit the ground.
OR:
Someone traps Annabeth in a burning building and it's up to Percy to get her out.

Annabeth rolled her eyes at the stupidity of the two boys. She swore they had a fight like this every night at this point. The two would argue over something trivial and before you know it the entire camp was involved.
Water and fire clearly didn't mix.
Camp Half-Blood descends into chaos after an argument between Leo and Percy about the right way to cook a potato.

Summary
He barely managed to lay eyes on her before hands clamped down onto his arms and shoulders, and chaos erupted around them once again. Guns flew up as fists were thrown, and distantly, Mike heard his name among cries and other yelling, but when he lunged toward his friends, the hands on him tightened, preventing him from running to them.
It took him another second to realize they weren't just holding him back. They were pulling him away.
Post El's "death," Mike and the rest of the party are detained by Dr. Kay and the military. When Mike is separated from them, he is forced to deal with an off-the-rails Dr. Kay and an angry Sergeant holding a grudge.
