Summary
Shane must have just finished his yoga routine, he was doing his cool down stretches, meaning he had been up for over an hour now, because he was insane!
Ilya watched. He knew this routine, Shane had walked him through it at the cottage, though then it had been a special sort of torture. Suffering, trying to match Shane stretch for stretch, instead of appreciating this view.
Now, Ilya had a front row seat, or a back row seat more like, and he was determined not to interrupt. So he waited.

Summary
This was nice. So nice. Why had he fought against this so hard? He can't remember. Who wouldn't want to feel this good? Was Ilya feeling good?
Suddenly, it was super important to him that Ilya was also feeling good. He fought his way through the fog, just to get his vocal cords to work again. He left his eyes closed, sending all his available energy to get the words out. The other's hands had left Shane's hair again at some point, probably returning to his game. Maybe Shane shouldn't bother him...
"This is good?" Shane wasn't sure that Ilya would hear him, wasn't sure if he was just really far gone or if the TV wasn't even making noise. "For you?" He was slurring. He could hear himself second-hand, almost as an echo, as if he was watching from the ceiling or listening through a walkie-talkie. He still had his eyes closed, his neck going boneless after he got the words out, his head slipping further into Ilya's lap.
or Shane can't think of a world where Ilya wants this too, despite having been told a million times that, yes, Ilya does in fact enjoy having Shane kneel for him.

"You did a lot for her." Shane paused here, shifting again into Ilya's line of sight, trying to catch his eye. He waited until Ilya let their eyes connect before gently saying, "I know you know that."
But Ilya didn't. Not in a way that he could admit to himself. Because if he admitted that he was able to help her in any way, then he also had to admit that he then abandoned her.
Or; Ilya is having a rough week at work.
It's nothing to throw himself off the roof over though.

There was something more though. Something that, even after all these years together, he wasn’t quite able to articulate. Though, it was not necessarily something he could ignore now, not after this display.
He wanted to blame it on the panic coursing through him after unsuccessfully chasing after his dad. He really wanted to. But that was no reason to feel this much desperation for it, there was absolutely no reason for him to want this so bad. Sure his knees were weak, and sure he was losing his mind at a dizzying rate, but he’s not quite sure how he got down here. Or when his brain decided that yeah, that’s where he needed to be.
And why was it fucking helping.

Summary
A mostly crackfic series that asks, what if Shane and Ilya were slightly out of character? Shane is bitchier, Ilya is manic and philosophical, Cliff Marleau and the Boston boys take turns babysitting their crashing-out captain, and Shane finally gets recognized as the pretty, funny, sassy player he is.
Nothing is too serious about this, it's a mix of show and book canon, and a healthy dose of fanon (himbo king Cliff). Ilya is allowed to catch feelings early, as a treat and Shane is allowed to let his inner mean girl out.
Please enjoy these silly boys and their silly relationships! Four works so far with more to come! How much more? I don't know! They keep doing silly things and my brain keeps writing it down.
