    Then everything went to shit. After an encounter with a masked soldier with a metal arm that left you barely breathing, you left. Ready to put the violence, the pain, and the unrequited justice- all behind you.

That's how you end up where you are: America's favorite Avenger dating the Winter Soldier.

    Except, of course, it's all fake. It's just a PR relationship to soften the public's view of Bucky. You two are really just good friends, and we all know that absolutely nothing can go wrong.

    Bucky is just recovering and meets someone who makes him feel normal again. By the time he gains the nerve to try anything, he thinks he lost his shot. Until the government realizes they need to put a positive public image on Bucky in order to keep him on the team. They pair him up with her, as a PR move, but his feelings bubble under the surface.

    But things get complicated quickly.

    (I wrote this because I know babyfics are always like ‘yup and then they had a baby and everything was fine’ and this is how I think our fave man would really handle a pregnancy pre-FATWS).
