“I’m sorry, I think you’ve got the wrong number,” the woman cut her off.
Vi felt her face go so hot she was sure that it was visibly steaming in the winter air. Of course it was a fucking wrong number - just the cherry on top of an already shit morning. She struggled to conjure up some sort of apology. Instead, what came out was, “Oh. Well, thank god, because I was feeling really bad about yelling at someone who sounds so sexy.”
As soon as the words left her mouth she wished she had a spare hand to cram them back inside. She was considering just abruptly hanging up when a breathy chuckle filtered across the line.
“Awfully bold for someone who’s ranting about cement to a stranger at eight o’clock in the morning.”

“Yes ma’am.” Vi spoke without her usual snark, with no trace of humour. Heat pooled in her core. Vi moved on hands and knees, sitting like a well trained puppy waiting for a treat.
“Open your mouth.” As soon as Vi had obeyed, Caitlyn shoved her soaked panties into her mouth, effectively gagging her. She’d kept that little gem in her pocket. Having worn them during the day before coming here on her lunch break.

Summary
Vi's eyes travel along that slit and up Cassandra’s body as she walks back to Vi's side after closing the balcony door. Maybe it's the three glasses of wine she's had but Vi can't quite help her gaze from lingering on the Councilor's breast for a second too long before moving up to her blue eyes at a soft clearing of the Councilor’s throat. Vi isn't particularly embarrassed at being caught staring and gives the councilor her lopsided grin before bringing her cigarette to her lips once again.
She watches Cassandra's gaze follow the movement, barely concealed hunger buried behind her eyes as they linger on Vi's lips for entirely too long and Vi has to force herself not to smile.
"Are you dating my daughter?"
The question startles Vi enough that she has to fight to keep her expression neutral and the smoke in her lungs for a beat before uttering one simple word. "No."
Cassandra gives Vi another once over, "Good."

Caitlyn has been complaining non-stop about her mother ever since Vi meet her. Who knew agreeing to be her plus-one to a fancy gala would end with her up in the councilors office.
