Summary
"Deep breath," Mingi commands, in a softer voice. Hongjoong obeys: and, as he does, Mingi sinks inside of him completely.
Hongjoong shakes around him, his muscles twitching abortively, his frame molded to Mingi's body. He heaves for air in the crook of his elbow, breaths spinning uselessly, eyes leaking tears and his body screaming for reprieve. But it's not reprieve that Hongjoong wants. It's Mingi.
"Good boy. Why don't you smile for the cameras?"

Summary
"You need to feel World Z. You need to remember this place. How it felt to be hunted. How it felt to be scared for your life, for others' lives. Your life in World A — it's too cushy for that. You can't possibly remember the pain, the rage, the desperation. You need to feel all of that again."
Hongjoong feels like he's in a trance. His clone's expression is made of stone. His eyes skirt over the features of his face, identical to his own, minus his missing eye. His chest pangs.
"How?" He asks again. Other-Hongjoong lets go of him and stands.
"Start running," he says. Calmly, like it isn't insane.
Hongjoong frowns. "What?"
"Start fucking running. Now," the clone orders. It's a threat. It's a promise.

Summary
"Stupid squirrel. You've never met a wolf, have you?"
Hongjoong shakes his head quickly, eyes still screwed shut. All that he's heard about wolves is from the horror stories the elders had told him.
Mingi laughs behind him, and Hongjoong bristles despite his panic.
"Oh. I think you're going to enjoy this."

Summary
“Please, Seonghwa. I’m sorry, I don’t know what’s wrong with me, please. Please, stay.”
Seonghwa gives Hongjoong a look that threatens to carve out his insides. To dry and hang them, black and corroded by mistakes and shame, in the window and expose them to the block. Tourists would point, and guffaw, and residents would gasp. Old ladies would whisper to themselves at cafés, asking, 'Who is that?' And the waiter would refill their coffees, smiling as he answers, 'Nobody.'
Because, as Hongjoong says now: “Je ne suis rien sans toi."
His words fall heavily in the room. He feels Seonghwa’s pity, hot like an iron bearing down on his chest. It’s suffocating. Hongjoong’s breaths are quick, light, he’s hyperventilating. His fingertips are numb. He stares at Seonghwa, and Seonghwa stares back at him.
Silence cuts between them, with Hongjoong knelt like a cursed, shunned disciple at Seonghwa’s feet. A tear track leaks down Seonghwa’s cheek. Hongjoong makes a sound like a wounded deer, waiting to be mercy-killed by its hunter. Hongjoong whimpers, and Seonghwa fires the gun.

Summary
"Wooyoung... I don't— I don't know what to do, something's really wrong with me…"
The words rip violently out of Hongjoong chest, flaying him open at the sternum. He begs, for nothing and for everything at once. He exposes his raw, barely-beating heart, and waits for it to be crushed by rejection. Crushed by judgment. Crushed by anything at all, because Hongjoong's body has trained him to expect pain in every move he makes.
Wooyoung, as soft as a flower petal and as tender as a doe, deflates. His chin trembles he steps towards Hongjoong and takes his hands.
"Oh, baby …" Those two words carve a new chunk of guilt out of Hongjoong's gut, because he doesn't want Wooyoung to see him like this. Not him — all sweet sensitivity, all devoted loyalty and invigorating care. He's younger. He's more precious.
And here Hongjoong is, with the delicate touch of a freight train, forcing him to witness the self-destruction of the century.

It's getting harder and harder for Yunho to pretend that he's straight. Especially with the way Mingi flirts shamelessly with him every time he drinks—only to switch back to being Yunho's completely platonic best friend as soon as he sobers up. Mingi flirts with everyone. Mingi could have anyone on campus. Why the hell would he ever look twice at Yunho?

Summary
"What we need is a militant ally. The Bang Kingdom is paramount to this victory."
He stilled. The first thought he had of the aforementioned kingdom was not a great one. In fact, the only image he could conjure of the place was that of barbarians and savage monsters that tore through their lands. Or so every merchant he allowed to entertain him would say. They spun stories about them, and the bobbles they managed to pull from those lands.

Summary
“Why are you two here? Weren’t you supposed to be out at the company diner?” Yeosang asked, surprised at the sudden appearance of his boyfriends.
“We were-” San began, his voice was calm as he slipped out of his jacket. Wooyoung didn't let him finish and he took over:
“Until we saw you stepping out of the dressing room with that damn ponytail."
Or,
250609 ponytail Yeosang stirred something raw in Wooyoung and San. They lost control, and let jealousy, desire - and all the holding back from claiming Yeosang in front of hundreds - turn into a rough sex, followed by soft cuddles with bittersweet confessions.

Summary
“Speaking of this beat up old ship,” Jongho starts, considering. “You’ve got to give her a name now.”
Seonghwa hums thoughtfully, tilting his head. He takes in the multicolored sails, pulled from scraps and made into something new, the threads shining in the growing sunlight. He watches the colors paint the sky—pink and orange and purple and blue, making way for a new day, a new journey for their strange little trio.
“How about…The Aurora?”
—
In a world where the land and the sea are at war, Park Seonghwa comes to the abrupt realization that the hunters he’s trained under for most of his life, as well as the system they fight for, are nowhere near as just as he had thought. His decision to run ends up bringing him to a beat up little ship, and his own humble crew of a merman, a runaway naval officer, and eventually, Hongjoong—a jaded pirate with a strange curse who ends up being enough of a handful all on his own.
Taking the strange man onto his ship, as unconventional as it is, gives him more than he could have ever bargained for—and it’s only the beginning of their long journey.
